Bishop David Oyedepo Completes the Nigerian Navy Music School-AIT Road as part of the N650 Million Road Construction Project ($1.8 million) Budget.
The Living Faith Church announced that the Ota-Navy School of Music-AIT Road has been completed.
The road was among those scheduled to be repaired in 2019 as part of the N650 Million ($1.8 m) budget approved under the Church. The road from Oju-Ore Junction of the Idi-Iroko Expressway to Lagos via the Navy School of Music (NNSM) to African Independent Television (AIT) at Alagbado, Lagos, had been closed for a while due to its state of disrepair.
The new development will definitely make life much easier not only for the members of the Church every Sunday, but also for the people and inhabitants of Ota, Ogun State, who take the road to and from Lagos on a daily basis, as it will reduce the pressure and congestion on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
It will be recalled that another household name in the hall of clergies, Pastor William Kumuyi, Founder and General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church had embarked on a similar project(s) back in 2018, when he made his way to newspaper covers and headlines by launching a series of community projects in Lagos. The projects included a link bridge on Oduwaiye Street, Gbagada, traffic lights on a number of streets and a 600 capacity multilevel car park.
Pastor Kumuyi, in his welcome speech at the commission of the projects which had lasted about 2 years, said the Church was deeply concerned about the comfort of the people of the communities where it is located, hence its decision to embark on the projects. He also emphasised that the Church still had a number of other projects either under construction or at planning stages, all geared towards improving the quality of life of the people in support of the urban renewal programme of the State Government.
The projects were officially commissioned on Tuesday, February, 2018. Former Governor of Lagos state, Ambode, who spoke at the commissioning of multiple projects executed by the church in the Gbagada area of Lagos, praised the efforts of Pastor Kumuyi, for mobilising millions of his members across the world towards making life more meaningful for members of the community that live near its headquarters in the state.
