The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union has raised the alarm over the alleged abduction of five daughters of a pastor of Christ Embassy in Karji, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
But the Kaduna State Police Command had yet to confirm the incident as the Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, told our correspondent that he was driving.
As of the time of filing this report his phone was engaged.
SOKAPU’s National Public Relations Officer, Mr Luka Binniyat, gave the name of the pastor who’s daughters were abducted as Istifanus Tiswan and identified the kidnapped daughters as Faith, Godsgift, Ruth, Damaris and Michelle.
He said the gunmen also kidnapped another victim, one Haruna Barde, who had escaped violence from his native village to take refuge in Karji as an internally displaced person.
Binniyat, in a statement titled, ‘Five daughters of one pastor kidnapped in Kaduna – SOKAPU,’ said “On November 7, 2020, in brazen impunity, armed men invaded Karji suburb of Kaduna, less than 10km from Government House, Kaduna, and kidnapped six persons, five of them the daughters of Pastor Istifanus Tiswan of Christ Embassy Church.”
So far nothing has been done in an attempt to secure the release of those abducted and the gunmen are yet to make contact with the families of the affected victims.
